- A. Political Candidates.
- Neither the Association nor the Council shall
endorse, sponsor or make financial contributions to any candidate for
any political or public office.
- Candidates for public office are welcome to attend any meeting of the
Association or of the Council, but they may not campaign in any way
during the meeting or at or immediately around the meeting place before
or after the meeting.
- B. Public Ballot Issues.
- Both the Association and the Council may
endorse or oppose any proposition which is scheduled to be voted on at a
public election, provided that speakers on all sides of the proposition
are invited to attend a meeting and are given equal opportunity to
present their views and answer questions.
- Neither the Association nor the Council shall accept financial
contributions of any kind from any person or organization in connection
with a proposition that is scheduled to be voted on at a public
election.
