- A. Authority.
- This constitution and the attached Meeting Groundrules
may be amended at any valid Council meeting by a two-thirds majority
vote of the members attending the meeting.
- B. Procedure.
- An amendment to the constitution may be introduced and
may be discussed at any Council meeting. However, the amendment may not
be voted on until the next regular Council meeting. Each proposed
amendment shall be distributed in writing with the notice for the
regular meeting at which the amendment will be voted on. The amendment,
as written, may be discussed and modified at the voting meeting.
- Meeting Groundrules may be amended at any regular meeting.
- C. Effective Date.
- Every properly adopted amendment to the
constitution or the Meeting Groundrules shall become effectively
immediately unless the amendment provides otherwise. Copies of the
amendment shall be distributed to all Council members with the notice
for the next regular meeting after the amendment has been approved.
