Constitution of Forest Park Southeast Neighborhood Association and Community Council

Preamble
We adopt this constitution to create the Forest Park Southeast Neighborhood Association and Community Council.

This new association/council is founded on two principles which are central to the spirit of the Forest Park Southeast Neighborhood. First, we recognize the dignity and rights of each individual who lives or works in our neighborhood. Second, we acknowledge that, as neighbors, we stand together and that we have responsibilities to ourselves, to one another and to our community.

The Forest Park Southeast Neighborhood includes women, men and children of different backgrounds, races, ethnic heritages, ages, religious beliefs, sexual orientations, political convictions, life styles, occupations and economic standings. We respect these differences and believe that they give our neighborhood a richer character and greater strength. We also believe that, as neighbors, we have common interests and share common concerns. By talking and working with one another, we can safeguard the vitality of our differences and promote the essential elements of our common good.
