The Gibson Heights elections were completed at the November
meeting without any recounts or law suits! The officers
serving us for the year 2000 are:
-
Sonda Thompson, president (serving a second term);
-
Jennifer Halling and Elena Shepherd, the co-
secretaries; and
-
Arun Ramachandran, treasurer.

Footbridge reopening scheduled:
-
The footbridge across Highway 40 is scheduled to reopen on
December 18. Possibly the finishing construction will be
delayed by the recent big freeze and heavy snow. But we
should be able to use it again soon. Ideas for a
celebration are percolating as we want to make a point of
the value of the bridge to the neighborhood as a connection
with the medical center and Central West End without the
traffic of Kingshighway or Taylor.
