School and Community Center:
The reopening of Adams School, the building of the Community Center, and new facilities in Adams Park are under the direction of the Adams Park Community Corporation (APCC). The Council has representatives to the APCC but has received no reports from those representatives. For the July meeting, the Council has invited the co-chairs of the School-Community Center Committee, the newly hired community center director Chuck Tyler, and Adams Principal Sharonica Hardin to provide information and answer questions about the school and center. Also invited is a representative of Deaconess Foundation which has been asked to financially support construction of the center. Possible issues are:
     (1) YOUR QUESTIONS
     (2) what geographical area will the school serve? (McRee residents have said their children will not be able to attend Adams School)
     (3) will the new ball field continue to be locked?
     (4) what about maintenance of the field and has anyone used it since the dedication?
     (5) how much will residents have to pay to use the Community Center and the field?
Coming event:
Tony Davis of Lamb's Bride is organizing a festival on Tower Grove for August 25, the last Saturday of the month. Ideas for participation are welcome.
