The Fountain Park neighborhood is named for the historic fountain within the city park. The park is named for the beautiful, multi-tiered fountain nested within. The sculpture was reproduced from a renowned fountain located in Europe. Within Fountain Park is an eleven-foot, bronze statue of Martin Luther King, Jr. It was designed by St. Louis sculpter Rudoph Torrini with support from the Community Development Agency and the Union-Sarah Economic Development Corporation, Inc.
The Park is a natural gathering place for neighbors. Below are some pictures taken during National Night Out, August, 1996.
The friendly police officers are regularly seen walking and riding throughtout the neighborhood. Of course, they support and participate in the activities in the park.
