ORIGIN OF STREET NAMES IN HYDE PARK
Hyde Park began as the town
of Bremen, in 1844. Many of the settlers came from germany. As a result,
the city was named after a city in northern Germany. Emil Mallinckrodt
encouraged other Germans to come to the area, by promising cheap land and
a German-speaking environment.
