about Kings Oak
ConServ
Kings Oak has been designated an Operation ConServ area by the City of St. Louis, entitling it to concentrated support services. Through Operation ConServ, the King Oaks Community Housing Corporation has been established to monitor and enhance the area's housing. This housing corporation can purchase and redevelop properties and market them to home buyers who agree to be owner-occupants.
Operation ConServ also coordinates the efforts of various neighborhood organizations, city agencies and the Police Department. Programs such as COPS (Community Oriented Problem Solving ) are the culmination of these efforts.
The Kings Oak Neighborhood Association meets monthly to discuss and act on concerns regarding housing, safety and a variety of other issues.
