Welcome to
Lewis Place
The Lewis Place Neighborhood is a National Register Historic District. The residents are warm and friendly. Many senior members of the community delight in sharing the history of this well known section of the city. They are also stakeholders in the vision for the continued growth and development of the neighborhood.
Families of all sizes looking for well built homes in a friendly, stable community are invited to choose this neighborhood as their home. Newly constructed, renovated, and well maintained homes of varying sizes are often available.
This is a convenient area in which to live because of the many businesses, churches, and services available within the neighborhood boundaries or in adjoining neighborhoods.
Neighbors have organized and formed block units and neighborhood associations designed to maintain and improve the culture of the area. Some of these organizations are: The Lewis Place Improvement Association, The Newberry Terrace Neighbors, The Enright Neighbors and the Evans Page Organization.
Location: Lewis Place is generally defined by Martin Luther King on the north, Delmar on the South, Newstead on the East, and Walton on the West.
