Lindenwood Park - the namesake of the neighborhood - is located in the center of the neighborhood bounded by Jamieson on the west, Pernod on the north, Lindenwood on the south and Prather on the east. Lindenwood Park and playground covers 14.08 acres and was purchased by the city in 1947 for $81,000. It is heavily used for organized sporting events, especially soccer and summer softball. The peripheral sidewalk is a favorite for strollers and dog walkers. In addition to Lindenwood Park, Tilles, Francis and River Des Peres Parks are located near the neighborhood and are easily accessible either with a moderate walk or short car ride.

Churches are well represented in the Lindenwood Park neighborhood. The Watson Terrace Christian Church at 4205 Watson was formed in 1952 with the current church sanctuary dedicated in May 1964.

Immanuel Congregational Church, on the corner of Jamieson and Marquette Avenues, was founded in 1891 with the present building completed in 1925 and remodeled in 1962.

A congregation with a long and varied history is the Union United Methodist Church at Watson Road and Pernod. Union United Methodist traces its history back to 1845 and has been at various city locations during that time. The move to its current location occurred in 1952.

Timothy Lutheran Church 314-871-8673, was founded in 1927 and is situated at the corner of Ivanhoe and Fyler. The present church was completed in 1960 and expanded in 1992.

Lindenwood Baptist Church was organized in 1932 and is located at 6932 Lansdowne Avenue. Its present sanctuary was dedicated in 1995, and the adjacent three story educational unit added in 1962.

Ephiphany of our Lord Catholic Church is located at 6596 Smiley Avenue, telephone number 314-645-8760.

Southwest Baptist Church is an evangelical church located at the corner of Scanlan and Watson, 6401 Scanlan Ave., 314-647-4567.

Mount Tabor United Church of Christ is located at 6520 Arsenal Street, 314-645-9025.

The Machacek branch of the St. Louis Pulbic Library is located within the Lindenwood Park neighborhood at 6424 Scanlan. Machacek has a number of programs for both adults and children. Call 781-2938 to obtain a schedule of events and library hours of operation.
