The Kosciusko neighborhood is a major business and employment center. Presently one-third of the neighborhood is designated as an Urban Renewal Area. The redeveloped area is managed by the St. Louis Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority (LCRA). There is a small business center, consisting of retail stores and restaurants, down 7th Street.
This non-residential area is the location for the Monsanto Queeny Plant Technology Center and the Nooter Corporation.
Kosciusko is bound by I-55 to the North, St. George and Dorcas
Streets to the South, Seventh Boulevard and Eighth Street to the
West, and the Mississippi River to the East.
