Accomplishments

TPNA Events that have and continue to promote our sense of community:

• Annual Easter Egg Hunt

• Biennial Taste of Tilles restaurant tour and concert in Tilles Park

• TPNA 10th Anniversary Celebration, Colleen Sondermann Memorial Playground Dedication and Rosalie's Garden Dedication

• TPNA Float Entry in the St. Joan of Arc Homecoming Parade

• Annual A Night with the Stars outdoor movie theatre

• Windowsill Greenhouse Program with neighborhood, St. Louis Senior Center and St. Louis Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center

• Semi annual Christmas Lighting Contest

• Annual Holiday Party and Canned Food & Personal Hygiene Products Drive

TPNA projects that have improved our neighborhood:

• Restoration and naming of Rosalie's Garden, a terraced ornamental garden on the north side of Tilles Park, with assistance from Operation Brightside's Growing St. Louis and Neighbor's Naturescaping grant programs, Gateway Greening's grant program and many generous public and private donors

• Installation of 'Rosalie's Garden' sign at the south entrance to the garden

• Installation of the Community Bulletin Board provided by Gateway Greening near playground

• Planting of a Native Garden around the Tilles Park sign with assistance from Operation Brightside grant programs

• Installation of Tilles Park street banners around the park

TPNA has also provided:

• Assisted Operation Brightside in hosting 2006 Neighbor's Naturescaping and Growing St. Louis Workshop 1 click here to see photos

• Assistance to Ald. Colleen Sondermann with plans for new picnic tables and benches on the overlook above Rosalie's Garden

• Assistance to Ald. Colleen Sondermann with plans for new playground equipment in Tilles Park

• Assistance to Ald. Jim Sondermann with plans for new benches throughout Tilles Park

• Sponsorship for 4th of July fireworks at Sublette Park

• Sponsorship for Holiday Dome Lighting at St. Louis Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center, Historic State Hospital Bldg.

TPNA has been awarded:

• 2006: 2nd place Scarecrow and 4th place Ornamental Garden in Gateway Greening's Urban Garden Contest for Rosalie's Garden

• 2005: 3rd place Ornamental Garden in Gateway Greening's Urban Garden Contest for Rosalie's Garden

• 2004: Best Arid Garden in Gateway Greening's Urban Garden Contest for arid bed in Rosalie's Garden
