Playground

Thanks to the Trio Foundation and the Moog Family Foundation,
for providing the initial funds to renovate the playground
area at the Pool Pavilion. A new surface was installed in
the
north and south playgrounds; new child-friendly fencing was
installed around the play areas; two new play structures
were added; and new pavement was laid to complete the renovation.
The new surface is an engineered wood fiber surface that
meets all current codes set by the Americans with Disabilities
Act. The result is a more attractive, and more importantly,
a much safer and user-friendly playground for our park
patrons.
Wading Pool

The Muckerman's Children's Fountain at Tower Grove
Park accomodates visitors seeking relief from the summer heat.
It was installed in 2006, and was made possible through a
generous bequest from the family of Dr. Richard I. C. and
Barbara Hagnauer Muckerman. The new fountain at the wading
pool features the addition of multiple pop-jets, a large central
water bowl that creates a spilling "curtain" of
water, and strengthened mechanical support systems.
During the summer season, the fountain and jets are on every
day. The wading pool is open during the day Tuesdays through
Sundays.
