The Tower Grove Park Foundation was created to ensure the ongoing preservation and enhancement of Tower Grove Park for public use and enjoyment. The Foundation’s Trustees have set up an endowment fund to receive major or planned gifts from friends who value the vital role that Tower Grove Park plays in the everyday life of people throughout the St. Louis region.
How Your Gift Will Help
With a prudently invested endowment that provides maximum interest income, the Park will be able to continue to provide a special place for residents and visitors to enjoy nature in an urban environment. Interest from an endowment fund will help stabilize and diversify the Park’s income, and protect it from fluctuations in funding from governmental and private sources. Interest income will also contribute to maintaining the Park’s architectural, historic, and natural assets. With your major gift to the Foundation, the Park will be better able to preserve its stately ornamental stone and iron entrances, colorful pavilions and music stand, mock ruins, sparkling fountains, and the impressive Piper Palm House and Piper Plant House.
Your support will allow the Park to care for and add to its 275 varieties of trees and woody shrubs, a more diverse collection than any other urban park in the country. You will help give bird watchers ongoing opportunities to observe a tremendous array of species, and neighbors and visitors alike will continue to enjoy the Park’s beautiful flower displays and lily ponds.
Your gift will also ensure that the Park continues to serve as a favorite gathering place for weddings, family reunions, church socials, picnics, and educational programs. Seniors will enjoy activities at the Stupp Center, and music lovers will gather on summer evenings for concerts at the Music Stand.
Contribution Options
You can arrange for a gift in several ways. Many people set aside a certain dollar amount through a provision in their will. Others leave a percentage of their estate, or assets remaining after they have provided for their family. Some people leave paid-up insurance policies, real estate, art and antiques, or other financial investments. If you are interested in maximizing a charitable contribution while also benefiting from current tax laws, you may want to consider a gift of appreciated securities.
If you have a professional with whom you work, such as a financial planner, lawyer, accountant or insurance agent, please talk with your advisor about leaving a gift to Tower Grove Park. A professional can tell you about the tax benefits of major or planned gifts.
You can also call our Development Director at Tower Grove

estate advisor. Any direct contribution should be made
payable to Tower Grove Park.
