Built in 1872, the Music Stand was a favorite place of Henry Shaw. Surrounded by busts of Shaw's favorite composers, the Music Stand, where concerts were performed on Sunday afternoons in the late 1800's, is still used for performances as well as a popular location for weddings.
Wedding Ceremony/General Use:
Rental fees include exclusive use of the site for the contracted time period, electricity, and seating for 200 guests on park benches. Portable restrooms and additional security are available for additional fees. Decorating the Music Stand and clean up must occur during client's rental time.
Rules:
No food or drink is allowed, on this site
No chairs or benches can be placed on the Music Stand itself.
No amplification.
No glass bottles.
When decorating, the use of tacks, staples and/or nails is strictly prohibited. We suggest using rail drapery and bow hangings with string and floral arrangements.
