Celebrating Our 100th Anniversary

| House and Garden Tour | Parkview's Centennial House & Garden Tour was held May 14 & 15, w005. The tour featured 14 homes, many with a garden, plus 5 additional private gardens. Also included were Parkview's two triangular shaped parks of ~1 acre each with fine corner gardens, and a smaller semi-circular park and garden at the main entrance at McPherson/Waterman and Skinker where the tour started. |
| Gala Celebration Dinner | On November 5, 2005 the neighborhood gathered at the St Louis Woman's Club on Lindell for the evening which included a dinner, speakers including Mayor of St Louis, Francis Slay, President of Parkview's Board of Agents, Michael Stephens, and writer, William Gass. Mary Henderson Gass presented the book Parkview: A St. Louis Urban Oasis 1905-2005. |

following in the tradition of Urban Oasis: 75 years in
Parkview a St. Louis Private Place, published in 1979.
The product of a large and dedicated group of neighbors who worked tirelessly for two years to expand and update the 75th anniversary book "Urban Oasis - 75 years in Parkview a St. Louis Private Place," the new edition is over 200 pages and contains hundreds of photos both new and old. It is available at local bookstores and on Amazon.com. |
