We are drug free!
The Annual Near Southside Drug and Alcohol Free Weekend is our biggest annual event, held in late July. In the summer of 1997 we fed over 1,200 folks hot dogs and hamburgers. About 400 marched in our parade. Organizations had booths. We had speakers and games for the kids. (Check out the pictures!) It's our way of demonstrating you can have a great time without drugs and alcohol. We also have big events for Halloween and Black History Month.
