AmerenUE Economic Development Incentive Rate
An economic development incentive rate is available to new and expanding industrial and commercial customers locating in the 24,500 square mile Missouri service area served by AmerenUE. The rate means a 15% reduction in your cost of electrical power during a five-year contract term as an AmerenUE customer.
To qualify for the Economic Development incentive rate you need to:
- Receive an economic development proposal from AmerenUE BEFORE you commit to a site.
- Receive and accept an offer of economic incentives from a local, regional or state development agency.
- Have an average monthly demand projection of at least 200kw for the five-year period during which the Economic Development rate is applied. Typically, this will involve a minimum of a 1200 amp service at 120/208 volts or a 600 amp service at 480 volts.
- Have an annual loan factor of at least 55% as calculated using a maximum summer monthly billing demand. This typically equates to a two-shift operation running six days a week.
To receive an economic development proposal, or to explore what this rate can mean to your company, contact Mike Kearney, Manager of Economic Development for AmerenUE at (314) 554-2304 or 1-800-981-9409.
